The project in Vápenka Vitošov is complete!

The project to modernise the two-shaft recuperative kiln in Vápenka Vitošov has been completed. 

What we did:

• We dismantled the old technology and installed the new technology in its place. This included the storage silo, the dosing system and the burner rods connected to the lime kiln.
• We manufactured and installed more than 1.2 km of pneumatic transport, including straight pipes and bends – essentially "technical spaghetti".
• We also installed control and shut-off elements, including ball valves, gate valves and turnstile feeders.
• We introduced a system for burning biomass alongside conventional coal and natural gas. Today, biomass is becoming increasingly popular thanks to its environmental benefits.

The project's aim is to use a fuel source other than natural gas — biofuel — while maintaining the option of using coal in combination with either natural gas or biomass.
